SPECIAL NEVADA ARES SECTION NOTICE

Don Carlson, Nevada Section EC has provided information regarding
his declaration of a "State of Drill/Testing for Potential Emergency" to all members of the Nevada ARES and/or
RACES organization effective August 1, 2011.
Please see the referenced documents below for further details. It is recommended that all Nevada Amateur Radio
operators print and carry these documents with them in their vehicles at all times. In the event they are stopped
by law enforcement for mobile usage of their amateur radio equipment they should show both the Nevada Revised
Statues document and the letter from Don Carlson to the officer making the stop. Don't forget to carry your FCC
Amateur Radio license with you at all times too.
Above all, be polite to the officer.

NRS 484B.1 Document
NOTE: Having problems printing the 484B document with yellow highlighting?
When opening the Print menu, check to make sure that "Comments" are included to be printed.
Depending on the version of your Adobe Acrobat reader, it may refer to just "Comments" or "Document and Markups"
or something similar.
Selecting this will then permit the document to be printed with the yellow highlighting in
the text.
Additional Note: the PDF file containing the 484B.1 document contains 8 pages. However, there
is content only on the first five pages. To save paper, just print pages 1 - 5. |
